He was born in 1940 in Daphne, Serres, to refugee parents from Asia Minor. After finishing his high school studies, he continued his education at the Technical School of Kastoria.
His business activity began in 1959, when at the age of 19 he turned to the insulation trade, a pioneering object for that time. In 1974 he founded the company FIBRAN with initial activity the application of prefabricated. Originally based in Thessaloniki and industrial facilities in Terpni, Serres, it undertakes the execution of construction projects in Saudi Arabia in collaboration with the largest construction companies in Europe.
He then expands the company’s activities in Greece with the construction of settlements, indoor gyms and schools. In 1994, a period during which Greek producers of insulating materials were absent in Greece, in addition to expanded polystyrene (styrofoam) handicrafts, Dimitrios Anastasiadis completed a state-of-the-art investment in Terpni for the production of refined polystyrene, the most effective thermal insulation material.
After the implementation of the second part of the investment plan in 1997, the FIBRAN factory is now among the top 5 in Europe in terms of production capacity. The distribution network is constantly expanding and the company’s commercial activities cover 17 more countries outside Greece.
In 2000, a new investment begins with a new mineral wool factory which will be completed in early 2002. The main goal of Dimitrios Anastasiadis was the continuous development of FIBRAN not only in Greece but also abroad with the installation of production units in at least 2 countries next year. two years.
